Description

Dalgety Bay Sailing Club is located on the north side of the Firth of Forth, approximately 2.5 miles to the north east of the Forth Rail Bridge.

The club has some of the best launching facilities in the area, having recently undergone extensive redevelopment as part of the MOD Radium Remediation works. This has resulted in a large, brand new slipway, which is ideal for launching lots of types of vessel.

Dalgety Bay Sailing Club is primarily a Sailing Club, which offers traning for junior members and adults throughout the season. There is also an active recing scene, and a great social calendar.

Membership is open to all, and you can contact the club for more information.

Club

Dalgety Bay Sailing Club welcomes new members. The club is an RYA Training Center, with a membership that enjoys training, racing and social activities.

Slipway

The slipway at Dalgety Bay Sailing Club has recently been rebuilt so it offers one of the best launching spots in the area. The slipway is concrete with good vehicle access.

Approach

The slipway faces in a south easterly direction, which is perpendicular to the prevailing weather. Protection is offered from the south west through some extended concrete structure on the slipway itself.

As you approach, be aware of the club moorings which lay towards the south east of the club grounds.
